This beautifully crafted and thoughtfully designed camera carrying strap comfortably and securely hugs your body like a lemur pup on its momma’s back. The LemurStrap keeps your DSLR or mirrorless camera securely right where you want it – when you want it. Comes with the shoulder strap and baseplate (including the tripod adapter). The baseplate also includes one onboard T-25 wrench found in a compartment underneath the pad on the bottom of the baseplate.

Functional and stylish baseplate

  • The patented baseplate attaches to the bottom of the camera via a quick release universal tripod adapter while the strap connects to the corners of the baseplate. This configuration ensures that the camera rests flat and securely against your body, lens pointing down and the screen pointing up. The camera is always stable.

  • Unlike with other straps, it won't rotate around your body or flop this way and that. And because the screen faces up, it won't get scratched by belt buckles or rivets on your jeans, and is readily available for fast in-hand editing.

Quick release, universal tripod adapter

  • Optimized for secure connection and fast coupling/uncoupling, our baseplate takes ordinary camera carrying to a new level, allowing for seamless changes between camera bodies and switches from strap to tripod to other camera accessories.

  • Attach the universal tripod adapter to almost any camera and leave it there. Throw the strap over your shoulder and snap your camera into the baseplate. Swing the camera to rest on your back and forget about it until you're ready to get the shot.

  • Our tripod adapter plate fits all your favorite Peak Design gear as well as all major tripod manufacturers.

Quick release pin

  • Easily accessed on the baseplate, press it in and release your camera from the baseplate

  • Your camera can now roam free enabling you to shoot from a worm's eye view or hold your camera high above your head to shoot. No need to take the strap off your shoulder. Just click the camera back in the baseplate when you have the shot.

Locking cam buckle

  • The cam buckle, located on the shoulder pad, locks your camera into position and keeps it in place so you can forget it's even there, freeing you up to use both hands to climb a wall, ride a bike, or eat a street taco.

  • To access your camera simply reach up, unlock the buckle, and bring your camera to your eye in an instant. No more dragging the strap over your shoulder. Unlike other straps, LemurStrap won’t catch on your clothing and slow you down.

Comfortable silicone shoulder pad

  • Subtle and soft, the shoulder pad clings to your shoulder with grippy raised lemur paws on its body contact side. Utilizing our unique patented mechanism, the webbing strap glides through the shoulder pad, allowing the camera to move freely.

  • Bringing the camera to your eye has never been easier; carrying your camera has never been more comfortable.

Hidden tool compartment

  • During LemurStrap’s development, field-testing feedback inspired us to design an onboard attachment, removal, and adjustment tool. We did that!

  • Locate it by lifting the edge of the rubber hip pad, and find it neatly stored in a custom-built compartment.

Great Strap

Works vary well, I’ve had a number of sling style straps and the ability to lock it in place is really nice, the tripod adapter is a plus and overall the strap is well made.

Glad I took a chance

I never really found a camera strap that I felt comfortable with. Whether the strap was cutting into my neck as I was moving around or the camera itself was bouncing as I was trying to relocate myself quickly, I was never satisfied. So I took a chance with Lemur. I'M GLAD I DID!! It is comfortable and the camera doesn't flop around. It stays next to my body no matter what position I put myself in. It is certainly a keeper. Bob S - CT

At first, I wasn't sure

Wne I attached my Nikon Z8 and 24-120mm lens, my first thought was that the weight might result in this being too heavy too comfortable. But I was wrong! Slung around my neck and shoulder, as intended, this is the most comfortable way to carry this gear that I have ever used. When I use my camera backpack I have another strap that connects to clips on the backpack straps that takes all the weight off my neck, but when I'm out with just the camera and lens, the Lemur strap is a much better way to go and makes it easy to remove the camera from the strap, should I need to.

Lemur strap works well.

The strap works great and the mount was at first a little loose but with the help of Lemur strap tech support we determined the screw was app. 2mm too long for my camera body thus allowing the mount to pivot on the camera body. Easy fix with a small square of cat tounge silicone sheeting...nice and sturdy now. Highly recommend this product after a day of shooting it never moved and it is so easy to bring the camera up and into position. The mount also fits my FotoPro tripod just fine. Five Stars. The support staff was fast to respond and help correct the problem and offered to send me a shorter screw but I am declining after todays shoot. Well done Lemur strap!

Not crazy about it.

I really like the overall concept of your lens design, especially the aluminum base — it feels solid and well-built. I often hybrid shoot (stills and video), so speed and efficiency are critical. One issue I ran into is the need to use a wrench each time I switch between a tripod and gimbal. In fast-paced environments like weddings, that’s just not practical. I’ve had to fall back on my older system for flexibility.

One improvement that would make a huge difference is adding a 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom of the plate. That would allow me to attach a quick-release plate and switch setups much more easily on the fly.

Another point: the strap length was limiting. During a recent wedding shoot, I had to remove it repeatedly to shoot overhead, which became inconvenient. A longer or adjustable strap option would really help.

Overall, the build quality is excellent — it's clear a lot of thought went into the materials and construction. With a couple of tweaks, this system could be much more efficient for hybrid shooters like me.
