If you’re between 5’3” and 6’4”, LemurStrap should fit you depending on your body shape. While the LemurStrap comes set up for the left shoulder, can be worn over your right shoulder as well as your left. If you want to switch the strap to your right shoulder, simply slide the shoulder pad further forward on your shoulder, or switch the tethers to the opposite sides of the baseplate, in order to maintain easy access to the locking buckle on the shoulder pad.

The baseplate of the LemurStrap fits most DSLR or mirrorless cameras. The best fit is achieved on cameras wider than 4 ¾” with the tripod screw hole centered on the lens (which is typical). The placement of the tripod adapter can be adjusted to fit a wide variety of camera bodies. Check out our specifications chart for exact measurements of the baseplate and tripod adapter. Yes! No need to detach it from your camera. Our tripod adapter plate is a standard ARCA Swiss shape and size and fits all your favorite Peak Design gear as well as major tripod manufacturers.

*Note: There are variations in the specifications of "ARCA Swiss" quick-release plates from different manufacturers. Our tripod adapter plate may not be compatible with all other "ARCA Swiss" products.

There should be a small amount of play / movement between the tripod adapter and baseplate. The engineer intentionally designed it this way, because if it was tighter, the tripod adapter would be hard to get in and out smoothly and it would lead to wear on both parts over time.

As long as the screw is tightly fastened and the tripod adapter isn't able to twist around, the baseplate will securely hold your camera. The play in the fit of the tripod adapter should not cause any wear. If the strap ever feels like it’s not secure, contact us so we can investigate further.

This includes swapping out certain components for stronger or more functional materials, and improving the efficiency, adjustability, and compatibility of certain components. As a small startup, we are not always able to update our pictures immediately.
